Xp install iis without cd
I paid for the professional version of XP so I could use IIS and am very frustrated that I cannot re-install this needed program without hours of work and tons of hassle. It is available in XP Professional and I have a right to use it without any further cost or hours of wasted time and much hassle. Where can I find the several needed files and why cannot I re-install it without the hassle involved? Martin, I saw the post by Wayne and thought that I should ad my 2 cents worth.
The I from the SP3 did not contain the same file set as the original OS so I was not able to find all of the necessary files to install the IIS as well as the other components. I was no better off than before.
Microsoft will not sell replacement Operating Systems. If Wayne still has the upgrade OS then he should have everything that he needs in the I, even if he has to do it manually for some reason which is very laborious.
